These Terms of Use apply to the Vellint website at vellint.com and the Vellint software service. By accessing the website or using the service, you agree to these terms. If your organisation has a signed agreement with Vellint, that agreement takes precedence where its provisions differ.
Permitted use
You may use the website to evaluate Vellint and the service to carry out authorised engineering documentation work within your agreed access and scope. You must comply with applicable law, your organisation’s instructions and any agreed project restrictions.
Accounts and responsibility
Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Access is limited to the people and organisation for whom it was issued.
Customer and user content
You and your organisation retain ownership of the documents, project data and other content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content for processing. You grant Vellint the limited rights to host, process, reproduce and transmit it as needed to operate, support and secure the service.
Confidentiality
Each party should protect non-public business, technical and project information received through an evaluation or service relationship and use it only for that relationship. More detailed confidentiality duties may be set out in a non-disclosure agreement or customer agreement.
Vellint intellectual property
Vellint and its licensors retain all rights in the software, website, workflows, interfaces, documentation, trademarks and underlying technology. These terms provide a right to use the service within the permitted scope; they do not transfer Vellint’s intellectual property.
AI-assisted outputs and professional review
Vellint uses AI to organise source material and prepare draft documentation. Generated content may contain errors, omissions or unsupported conclusions. It does not constitute an approved engineering deliverable. Qualified professionals must check source interpretation, engineering decisions, calculations, compliance and final documents before relying on or issuing them.
Prohibited use
You must not:
- access projects, accounts or data without authorization;
- upload unlawful content or content you have no right to process;
- disrupt, probe, bypass or interfere with security, access controls or service operation;
- copy, reverse engineer or derive the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use the service to harm others or violate applicable law.
Third-party services
The service depends on third-party infrastructure, identity and AI model providers. Their availability and operation can affect Vellint. Separate third-party terms may apply where a user connects or directly accesses an external service.
Availability and product changes
We may update the website and service, including during a pilot or evaluation. We aim to communicate material changes that affect active customer engagements. Evaluation features may change and may not be continuously available.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, prohibited use, legal requirement, non-payment under an applicable agreement or material breach. You may stop using the website or service at any time. Data return, retention and deletion after a customer engagement are governed by the applicable agreement and our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and liability
The public website and any unpaid evaluation are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Vellint does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that generated material will be error-free or fit for a specific engineering purpose. Vellint will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or an unpaid evaluation. For paid services, liability is governed by the signed customer agreement; where no signed agreement applies, Vellint’s aggregate liability will not exceed the amount paid for the relevant use, if any. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with appropriate jurisdiction in India will hear disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion, unless a signed customer agreement states otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version will be posted here with its updated date. Questions may be sent to contact@vellint.com.
